CAN JUNE 7TH MEETING @ THE NEW MARQUIS VISTA

The Board of Central Atlanta Neighbors (CAN), in partnership with Councilman Kwanza Hall, wishes to thank you for attending the recent CAN May event at the Civic Center - DIANA: A CELEBRATION. The ride with CAN is not over yet. Mark your calendars for the upcoming Rooftop June 7th event from 6:30pm - 8pm as we partner with a welcomed addition to the CAN family of developments THE MARQUIS VISTA APARTMENTS.

Central Atlanta Neighbors, your local neighborhood association, and Atlanta District 2 City Councilmember Kwanza Hall held a Meet-and-Greet on May 3, 2010 at the Atlanta Civic Center where neighbors who attended were offered a free tour of the "Diana: A Celebration" exhibit.

CAN 2009 GOALS

MEMBERSHIP: Increase CAN Membership by 50%

PUBLIC SAFETY: Establish constructive partnership with Atlanta Police Dept. & active CAN participation on NPU M Safety Committee

FINANCIAL: Establish positive performance of CAN’s invested funds

EDUCATION: Inform & engage all CAN child development programs, public schools, & private schools in CAN neighborhood

PARKS: CAN involvement in Alliance of Parks & Greenspace for NE ATL, Park Pride, & formation of Friends of Central Park

COMMUNICATION: Consistent, accurate, & timely records of CAN meetings and postings to CAN membership

Neighborhood volunteers are needed to work on planning/organizing upcoming neighborhood social events, help with the membership drive, communications committee and form an public safety committee. Please contact any board member to volunteer. Your participation matters!

You are invited to our monthly CAN meetings!
First Monday of Every Month at 7:00 pm. The next meeting will be held on Monday June 7, 2010 at the Marquis Vista Apartment Homes at 396 Piedmont Ave. NE
