January 2012 CAN Meeting

To start off the new year the January 2012 CAN/FWW meeting will be held on Monday, January 9, 2012 at the Marquis Vista Midtown Atlanta Apartments.  They are located at 396 Piedmont Ave. NE.  Due to the celebration of New Year's the meeting has been moved to the second Monday of the month for January only.

Social gathering starts at 6:30 pm and the business meeting starts at 7:00 pm. (Map).  This month we will be taking nominations for board members in preparation for the election of officers in February. 

Reminder:  The NPU-M Public Safety Meeting is on Thursday, January 5 at the Helene S. Mills Senior Center (Map) from 6:30 to 8pm.  Leadership from Zone 6 APD will be there for introduction and to answer any questions about the recent change in zone designations. 

December 2011 CAN Meeting

November 2011 CAN Meeting

October 2011 CAN Meeting

September 2011 CAN Meeting

The September 2011 CAN meeting will not be held at due to the Labor Day holiday. Check back for details of the October 2011 meeting.

August 2011 CAN Meeting

The August 2011 CAN meeting will be held Monday August 1, 2011 at the Marquis Vista Apartments. The address is 396 Piedmont Avenue (Corner of Piedmont and Ralph McGill). The social gathering starts at 6:30 pm and the business meeting starts at 7:00 pm.

.July 2011 CAN Meeting

The July 2011 CAN meeting will not be held at due to the July 4th holiday. Check back for details of the August meeting.

April 2011 CAN Meeting

April's meeting is being held at 6:30PM April 4, 2011 at the Central Park Recreation Center in the Community Room. This location was the first Center of Hope reopened by Mayor Kasim Reed last August. The Center is located at the foot of Merritts Avenue (cross street Felton) There is plenty of street parking. Enter the building from the park side. 6:30 - Neighborhood socializing and refreshments. 7:00 - Business meeting with APD and community officials. Hope to see you there! (Map)

March 2011 CAN Meeting

There will not be a CAN Meeting for March 2011. Stay tuned for the location of the April Meeting on April 4, 2011 at 6:30PM.

February 2011 CAN Meeting  

Central Atlanta Neighbors will be meeting at 6:30 PM February 7, 2011.  Our 2011 Kick-off Meeting will be held in the Atlanta Medical Center - Cancer Pavilion. The address is 320 Parkway Drive NE; Atlanta, GA 30312. (map)

At this meeting three board positions are up for election.  All members are eligible to vote or run for the board.  Please send an email to the board Secretary (1162@bellsouth.net) if  you have an interest in running for a board position. 

CAN Meeting For December 2010 

The location is Highland City View Townhomes, 375 Highland Avenue at Hilliard, Atlanta 30312. Time: 6:30-8pm. The December meeting will be held in the community's clubhouse. This meeting will be a social event for the holiday season. Bring a neighbor and join us for the last CAN meeting of 2010.

CAN 2009 GOALS

Neighborhood volunteers are needed to work on planning/organizing upcoming neighborhood social events, help with the membership drive, communications committee and form an public safety committee. Please contact any board member to volunteer. Your participation matters!
